For others, however, for several months now, we have had to settle for a vague “end of the year”, with rumors pointing to September or October. No need to play guessing games anymore.
Here is the deployment date of the Windows 11 24H2 update
In a blog postthe firm explains how its AI Copilot Assistant will be integrated into Microsoft 365a set of applications that includes Word, Excel and others. No connection with what interests us a priori, but at the end of the article, we can read that “Moving to the Microsoft 365 app as the entry point for Microsoft Copilot will align with Windows 11’s annual feature update“. There “annual update” here being 24H2.
“The changes will be rolled out to managed PCs starting with the optional non-security update on September 24, 2024and then with the monthly security update the October 8 for all supported versions of Windows 11“. The computers managed, understood by a company, will therefore be served first, followed by all the others during the October Patch Tuesdaythe second Tuesday of the month. Hopefully by then, Microsoft will have found what is causing the performance drops seen after the update.
